Back to Rügen again

Today, grandma, mum and me of course arrived in Binz.

The train journey was very exhausting.

The little sticker there is interesting. It's from the FRÖSI children's magazine promoting the 8th Pioneer's meetup. The Pioneers were the state youth organisation and nearly every kid was in it. You were one of the very weird kids if you weren't a member, but it was possible. I will probably write more about it in some later entries (or not). Anyway - stickers: stickers were a very rare thing in the GDR. More common were decals that you had to soak in water for a while before you could stick them to paper. Tomorrow's post will have an example.
